Archive Lantern is a consumer Android app for adults who want a private place to organise working notes around small collections, family archives, creative records, reference objects or community collections.
Small collections often gather observations across boxes, notebooks and conversations. Archive Lantern brings a modest set of prompts together on one device: describe an object provisionally, notice condition signals, review storage, prepare a movement and leave clear open questions.
The app never turns those notes into proof. It cannot authenticate an object, establish provenance, determine ownership or rights, value a collection, approve access, diagnose deterioration or replace a professional assessment.

Working states and open questions are preferable to confident language that the evidence cannot support.
The app offers observation and planning prompts, then tells users when to pause and seek qualified help.
Clear handover notes help a later reviewer understand what happened, what remains open and what should not be assumed.
